So here it is. I don't think I should be the one explaining others how to do it, but I thought it would be fun to let you guys see my working method. All I need is a piece of paper, my mechanical pencil with 0,5 mm H2 lead, internet, and my imagination.

First, I draw the whole body of my character. From imagination or reference. This time I used posemaniacs.com to get the pose right, since I do not have the patience to think of a pose myself and draw that several times before being satisfied with it. Nothing too fancy, just the random idea of what it will look like:

Then, I start adding the clothes over it. I usually draw the clothes over the lines first, without erasing them. Then I add some folds to remind me of the body's shape. I also draw the face a bit, just to know what direction I want him looking at.

Now I finish all the details I want him to have. Still sloppy lines, just the general idea of how I want him. In this case, I'm pretty sure I'll keep it this way, and I'll be ready to clean up the lines after this step.

Now I clean up the lines, add some thickness here and there, and I check what's left of my drawing after the cleaning.

Now I'm pretty satisfied with my drawing. It can be taken further with shading or some more line width-variation, but I'm a bit lazy today and I think it's fine just how it is.

There you have it, another anime-ish character standing tough, including some fancy haircut. It should be sort of ready for colors now.

Great drawing fshoo`! I suppose you really have a good understanding of how anatomy works to create your own characters. On average, how long does it take you to do a drawing?

Kunbo87: Thank you ;D Ehmm, I did this during the midday, while listening to music and having msn on. I think maybe an hour of drawing? I honestly don't know for sure. Won't be much longer though.

m3_freak: Haha, thanks man, glad you like it. You just made my day ;D
