Gungrave: The anime

Just got the first episode, what did everyone else think of this one?

eh...it was good for the first half, then increasingly stupid afterwards. I enjoyed how they depicted the intrigue of the mafia, and Brandon's past...but later on, it was all "hey, let's make all the villains get crazy super powers, and make them fight stuff"...they're not even that interesting to look at either =\

100% agree with darkreaver.

I've seen most of the episodes but only own the first dvd.

It would have been far better if they would have just not included the whole neocryptic monster people, that was a bit too corny.Although, the animation was a nice breather to get away from the typical "anime" style (at least for most of the characters) and the voice acting was well done in my opinion. I personally got annoyed by Brandon Heat's character because he almost never talked and I liked Harry a lot, what a back stabber lol.

The 2nd half is a little weak, but I think the first half and the ending more than makes up for it.

I have yet to see the ending but I'll talk your word for it. :)

G4techtv's Anime Unleashed used to air Gungrave but they took it away for now and replaced it with GadGaurd I think. :(
