Most of those were made back at the PLanetNamek forums a LONG time ago. DGAF was a dumb concept. The only reason I liked DBGT was cause it went back to the childlike state of things... which quickly descended into power fights again....

Dragon Ball Z is infamous for its list of goofs and mistakes throughout the series and its movies.

Here are some just from the Cell saga.

- There's like 3 different messed up timelines regarding Trunks,the present DBZ, and Cell's.

In Cell's - In Trunks's timeline Cell kills Trunks and steals his time machine which is how he arrived in the present timeline of DBZ in his inferior larvae form.

Perfect Cell was killed by Gohan in the present timeline yet weak Cell remains alive in Trunks' timeline where trunks confronts Cell and kills him since Trunks is stronger now after spending time in the present DBZ timeline. There's only one cell so if he died in the past then he shouldn't be alive in the future.

For that matter, since Perfect Cell died and had absorbed #17 and #18 then why are the two androids also still alive back in Trunk's timeline where he finally is able to kill them? Well Android #18 didn't die but #17 did when Cell was in his perfect form in the present DBZ timeline.

The writers must have been drunk lol.

The GT villains are just beyond stupid looking and their motives for evil are even lamer than Cell's.They make Cell look like someone who can be taken seriously.

Goku almost always takes so long to finish a fight when he doesn't just turn to Super Saiyan or even Super Saiyan 4 to finish the fight as fast as possible.

Why didn't other Z warriors go with Goku,Pan, and Trunks to search the universe to find the dragon balls? What the hell could be more important than that lol?

Well, there were only two timelines:
The one with Future Trunks and the normal timeline.

Cell was still alive because Trunks came from a separate reality (I guess), so killing him in the regular DBZ timeline didn't change anything in his. Otherwise, he wouldn't even have existed anyway, at least not as the same person he was when he came back.

It's not that complicated, and tons of other shows (anime or otherwise) have done things very similarly with time travel. It doesn't make a damn bit of sense, but that's time travel for you.

I don't mind the show, and don't understand why people freak out about it so much (either positively or negatively). The pacing is the main thing that screwed up the anime, the manga flowed a lot better. As long as you don't take it too seriously, then it's fine.

Dragonball needs a remake. Get a decent art team, some decent concepts, and some decent writers and run with it. The first show was cool, and Z started off fairly well, but it just deteriorated rapidly. But with some lovin' it could actually be an awesome fighting based series.

Some of the DBZ movies had some really cool animation.

The ones that stick out to me are Movie 13 and I think the movie with Janemba. Those ones had some very satisfactory plot and animation.

There were also a few noteworthy episodes of the anime that, unlike most of the episodes which were likely drawn by epilepsy patients, were quite well done. The ones that stick out to me were the episode with Majin Vegeta vs. Goku (the one where Vegeta uses the energy restricors on Goku and like bitch slaps him and them works him over while he's chained to the wall) and also the one where Goku fights as SSJ3 against Fat Buu over the city. That was a good one too. You know, the one where he demonstrates all the stages of Saiyan.

For it's own sake it should never be made.

Cooler's Revenge had a horrible story plot and the music ending theme was terrible and didn't fit DBZ at all.

Bojack's movie was even worse the story plot was so stupid.

Brolly's first movie I saw via the internet and the quality of the animation and voice acting seemed to be the worst I'd ever seen.

The Tree of Might and Dr. Wheelo movies were pretty good at least compared to the bad DBZ movies lol and had better story plots.

From what I've heard that Janemba movie is supposed to be one of the better movies.

Yeah, even with the crappy animation it would have been halfway decent if it wasn't just one big level up/fight scene. Practically half the show was spent screaming and attaining unimaginable heights of power (every third episode), and the rest was poorly dubbed material to rationalize all the screaming.

the original dragon ball had different figting styles and a good plot. in the fights they would take 1 punch at a time. in DBZ it has no fighting style a bad plot and they fight 100 same punches with no originality...

Not to mention that they only animated 3-4 scenes per episode and made the rest by cutting and pasting stock footage that they had lying around.

It might have been forgiveable if the character design was halfway decent at least. Unfortunately, Toriyama isn't too good when it comes to people. I'm not too hot on his designs, at least.

I actually like most of his designs. He did the designs for Chrono Trigger, which were great.

Some of the designs did start to get sort of... weird, near the end of the series, and pretty ugly in GT (but I'm not sure he actually designed those).

Exactly what I was about to post. He has very unique designs. Yeaaah, his affiliation with GT is quite ambiguous. A lot of people say he had nothing to do with GT while others say his position didn't even change.

Actually, I didn't mind the manga too much since you could read everything a lot faster and not wait for the rediculously long fights to take place. What happened is that the anime actually followed the manga pretty closely, but for every half hour episode, they would cover only about 1 chapter of the manga. That was too little since they would have to extend the length of the scenes.

Most modern anime that follow the manga closely do about 2 chapters per episode (Naruto, Bleach) so the pace is a bit better.

Heck yeah I've seen it. And I love it, even as I hate it. There is something incredibly awesome about world destroying powers and super kung-fu action that just grabs me by the balls and makes me pay attention. That's why I think it sucks so badly that the show was badly dubbed, badly animated, and badly written.

Seriously, imagine DBZ done with the art quality of Cowboy Bebop, a story that makes you think, kickass music, and some more original fighting styles. Can't tell me that would suck, and if you do, you're trippin'.

Yes it is ugly, and it was better in Japan. I believe it too, because you can imagine how much it was raped during dubbing. I'm sure tons of nuances were completely lost, leaving the show with little more than screaming and badly dubbed BS.

I don't know. maybe it's just me. But I don't like the Dragonball shows anymore. Sure I liked the origional a lot, and DBZ was pretty cool. I just hate the whole Idea that "there's always another evil out there unlike one they've ever fought before" -and- "oh Goku's A supersaien 826 wow." it just got too repetitive. after a while, it was all about who has more power instead of skill. Sorry to all you other Dragon ball fans.

I figured it out- Vegeta is actually only like 10 years old in the Saiyan Saga, but he was pumped full of testosterone and adrenaline like, daily. So he looks like a mean scruffy man even though he's a kid. Therefore he's still growing later on.

They say that a Saiyan's physical appearence doesn't necessarily determine how age they are since Goku looks exactly the same and so does Vegeta after the end of Dragon Ball. However, half-Saiyans like Gohan,Trunks,Pan,and Gotenks age more like humans do and so their physical appearence ages more rapidly compared to a full Saiyan.

Still, Vegeta's height is unexplainable and is most likely a goof but a goof that was done on purpose to make Vegeta look more mature in the Namek Saga and so on.

Lol, nope it just means that Vegeta doesn't look his age when he should look older but Saiyans are said to age less rapidly compared to humans and half-Saiyans.

Goku's age must be insanly akward since he's messed up time and space so much. He's been dead several times at like a total of 7-8 years, he's been in Kami's Time Chamber twice with Ubuu and Gohan, which is supposed to make you age faster as a side effect of 1 years training or something and then in Dragon Ball Gt Goku cheats growing older when he is turned into a kid again lol.

Isn't Goku like 23 years old or something by the time he fights King Piccolo?

High Power Level = high levels of testosterone.

DBZ villains nature to feel the need to destroy planets for no reason became repetitive with Cell and Majin Buu and every lame villain in GT.

In GT, Baby might of benn a sucky name, but he was freaking better at mind control than Babidi. You could say he was the ultamate evil because all he wanted to do was destroy everything. No selfish reasons, more of a revenge thing. Baby was so evil that he jacked the black dragonballs so the earth would be destroyed when he died (or escaped) and so that no one can wish the earth back. Evil, I say. I still think Vegeta is more evil though.

Frieza is the most evil. Destroyed planets and enslaved numerous alien races, you know the story.

Out of any of the other villains Frieza had a more suitable reason for wanting to kill all the remaining Saiyans and enslave/destroy planets that would be to his benefit. Although, Frieza's last performance after being rescued from space was utterly pathetic.

DB GT has horrible villains and so do most of the DBZ movies.
