As light passesd through the atmosphere of the Earth the red wavelengths of light are filtered out based on the distance traveled. This effect is even more obvious in water but is very clear when looking at mountains at a distance. You'll see them become both flatter and more greyblue monochrome. In your next exercise in distance I'd suggest adding that effect as it is vital to making things recede into the distance. The building's design is also really dull.
