***How to join the fetching chat***
Intro: Ahhh..the glory days when n00bulars would wander in all the time and we could poke them and make fun (just kidding). It was fun talking to new people and stuff, but now the chat has become like a forsaken graveyard with all the oldish pk people hanging out in there idling and no one new wanders in. It's depressing. I'm sure, this board being as big as it is, that people would join the chat if they knew how. So, here you go:

Step 1) Go here and download mIRC
http://www.mirc.com/get.html
Step 2) Install it. Not too hard yet...
Step 3) Open mIRC and close out of the annoying little box window that says stuff that no one cares about (and has the picture of the ugly guy).
Step 4) Filling out personal info: After exiting the little box that popped up, a second box called "mIRC Options" will also automatically pop up. Don't exit out of this window.
Fill in the boxes with info about you (name, email address, and a nickname. The alternative nickname box is just an option, so do whatever makes you feel fancy...e_e).

Step 5) Select "ShadowWorld" from the topmost dropdown.

Step 6) Hit "Connect to IRC Server" At this point, the mIRC Options box will disappear and you will see a window with tons of text that doesn't make sense suddenly appear with some beepy noises and whatnot. Don't be alarmed...this is a good thing.

Step 7) After all the beeping stops, the mIRC Channels Folder window will appear. There is a field at the top of this window where you can type to your heart's content. If you want to go to the PK BBS chatroom, type "polykarbon" in the field and press enter (no quotation marks are needed)

Step 8) You are now in the PK BBS chatroom. Time to chat. Many people idle while in the chat, but that doesn't mean that conversation doesnt happen. Just say something. Strike up a conversation with another n00b...talk about art and stuff...or preferably the classic conversations concerning cheese and music.

Hooray, it's set up. Now, every time you enter mIRC to chat, you only have to perform steps 6-8 to connect to the chat. Isn't that special? I bet you feel like a fetching genius now...so go in there and chat! :D
