I got to level 54, and never realized how much of a time waster it was until I quit.

Although I did make a ton of money at the end because I casino'd the last 2 weeks I played and got over 3.5mil which I gave to ONE of my friends.

i was planning on buying and playing it, but then i realized that most mmorpg's that you have to pay for are not only a waste of time, but a waste of money, so i used the money i was gonna spend on FFXI to pay for part of my new computer. :unibrow:

Bought it for my birthday, installed it overnight (longest...installation...ever), played it for a month and only managed to make level freaking 13. Uninstalled it and gave it to a friend, and never looked back.

I was planning to buy that game, but when i saw my friend play that game,it looks kinda boring..So i used up my money to buy a scanner. Its worth it.

If you liked FFXI, then you should try out Guild Wars. Pretty much a lot of the good about FFXI with none of the annoying bad.

nah..I'm not really looking to start any new games. If I go back to ffxi it's only because I have a lot of time already invested in developing a character.

Heh, interesting, out of all the servers I run into someone from mine :P.

Yeah I got bored looking for groups, so I started my casino.

Which evidently, lead to my downfall, from being poor as hell to a millionaire in a couple days, made the game a lot less fun, so I gave it to my buddeh Squallblade and he probably is pimping it up right about now.

I would suggest not going back to FFXI, I played for over a year, and right now, I wish I hadent wasted my money on it. Apparently Guild Wars is pretty lax, you can get to the level 20 cap in a few days, and theres no monthly fee.

If you actually like FFXI, which you still might, stick with it, its ok.

But, Im prefering World of Warcraft a lot more now, its a lot more relaxed and easy going then FF. Which is a nice change from power gaming every Friday, and Saturday night.

Currently im lvl 44 Whitemage Shesodero on Ramuh Server.
I got bored for a month so i killed stuff...sold stuff...made 10million gil....spent it all just yesterday....im set for the rest of the game.....had 2 mil left....spent it on fireworks.....yup....exciting....so who wants to go watch paint dry???lol the game is getting boring for me i think im gonna try out warcraft or guildwars.

I had a lvl 44 PLD, lvl 40 WAR, lvl 37 THF and a lvl 37 MNK. Legoen on the Shiva server. Man, I put so much time into that game. Now I'm playing WoW on the Dragonblight server, lvl 46 Pally, Alesra. Something about Paladins always gets me.

It really pissed me off that you had to buy this game to get a ps2 hard drive. Do you still have too?

If they ever make FFXI free, I'll start playing again. It's ridiculous a game with that little content and confined spaces costs money for doing the same thing over and over.

They mine-as-well charge people to play Pokemon with their friends.

if you want an rpg that is played with other people, play dnd instead of wasting money on pay for play games..


dnd = dungeons and dragons, since its easy to play over the web, and a good rpg why not ?
