My.... My PS2 broke....
:crying: :crying: :crying:
LIFE IS SO CRUEL!
When I plug it up (all connections good - checked 5 times) with and w/o a disc in it, all I get is a bunch of static and I can hear the PS2/Sony begining chime, but nothing but static.... Does anyone have any ideas on what the issue is?
Or should I just go grab a new one?

did you check if you were in Video 1? if nothin works try to borrow a friend's PS2 wires(the one with the Red yellow and White cables), cuz the same thing happened to me, but found out that the yellow end of the cable was defected.

A ps2 breaking down, surely you jest... j/k im sorry to hear that man. There are some online guides to troubleshooting the system people have compiled. Might want to give those a look.

Thanks G's... I'll look into it again.

Update: PS2 REVIVED! Thanks alot Izzy, you made me go back and check my chords again... It just so happens... that the white/yellow cords were crossed >.< (I'm an idiot I know) because I couldn't see very well last night - my only excuse.

Bears are awesome.

I'm a bear and I'm not outside.

Also, Chords, when arranged well, are far better than cords.

haha.

I feel for you though Krieock. One of my controllers just died recently when I dropped it one too many times. Now I am forced to play alone until I get some money.

I wish I could be happy for you, but how could I when mine died earlier this school quarter. All I get is a click click click, like a gun with out bullets. I felt like giving it the Peoples Elbow, good thing I realized that would only damage me more than a broken PS2.

O well, guess I'll just wait for the PS3.
