Scary? No.
Good? To an extent.
It's enjoyable but become quite redundant after awhile. It's all basically "OMFG ALIENS SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT!"
Then you get Alien powers and it's like "OMFG ALIENS SHOOT WITH ALIEN BIO WEAPON!!!!!!!"

Yeah, it's ok.

The storyline is a catastrophic mess with no focus. Scanned goodies are very inaccessible in their present form.

On PlayStation 2, Area 51 is a performer. Remarkable texture detail, vivid coloring, intricate design and slick animations make for one incredible product.

Sound

The effects are terrific and the music mostly stays on the side of ethereal, but still adrenal gland pumping science fiction. David Duchovny... Man, he needs a right and proper throat punching.

Gameplay:

There's no real incentive to complete the game other than to involve yourself in another challenging engagement, but those fights are put together nicely and highlight Area 51's tense feel.

Lasting Appeal

The inclusion of multiplayer in an action title may be obligatory at this point, but there's not enough variation in shooting and clawing to make that experience last for any great length of time.

I seem to never enjoy FPS games unless they have a really good story and originality
