Gundam Wing

I finally finished the Gundam Wing series, and after the first 5 mins of episode 1, I was hooked. I have also seen Endless Waltz, and that is just as cool. I don't know about you, but my favorite is probably Gundam Heavyarms Custom Kia (EW). This is one of my favorite shows out there. Like to here what all of you think about it also.

I just recently watched the Endless Waltz movie again on the Adult Swim Free on demand channel. Gundam Wing is probably one of the better Gundam series out there even though its animation is outdated. Although, Gundam 08th MS team was pretty good too. Cartoon Network channel used to air all of the Gundam tv shows from Char's Counter-Attack, Gundam: Star dust Memories, G-Gundam, Gundam F-91, and up to Gundam Seed.

Some of them were boring and some were good.

I liked Gundam Wing. Been a while since I've seen it. I only wish I had the money to buy the box set so I can see it again.

08th MS team was pretty cool. The older ones used gundams as a more strategic form of support rather than a super suit that is seen as invincible as in Gundam Wing. I wish they would have used the Serpents in the series, or at least in a series for that manner. Old school, yet cool, is the original Mobile Suit Gundam. I only saw a few episodes, but it was indeed cool.

P.S. If anyone is at all interested, I have an idea for a either a book, a comic, or even the basis of a series if you want to look at it that way. I haven't found a title for it, but I made out a basic timeline about 4 years ago, but have done nothing with it. I could post it in the Writer's forum if you want. Yes, there are some similarities on some things from other series, but that can be changed.

I enjoyed it as well. The story was alright and the animation was okay too. The movie was executed in a rushed manner and I didn't exactly like that. I also didn't like the concept of mecha that need heads in order to function. Why? In the movie, in order to immobilise the enemy without killing them, they destroyed the enemy mechas heads. That concept is stupid.

Yeah, I hear you. Still, the suits in EW were pretty cool. With a damaged head unit, you would indeed be flying blind because the suit's optic sensors are located in the head, just as a human, since they are of humanoid shape, I would assume. Endless Waltz was rushed, but still pretty cool.

Good ol Gundam Wing. First saw it with the American dub from cartoon network and I thought it was pretty good. Bought the box with all the episodes and EW and I almost started laughing when I compared the american dub with the japanese.
Seriously, why is it that japanese voice-actors kick so much more ass than American?

Anyway the show is great once it gets it's repetoire of animations for the gundams and enemies build up a bit, so the action scenes doesn't look so repetative, and the story was good and interesting too.
Relena's "I'll keep following you 'caus you're and interesting bloke that says you want to kill me, but doesn't" relationship with Heero is kinda original too.

I have the basis of a new era in the MS timeline. Im working on some reference sketchs right now. I may be no good at people, but im pretty good at mecha. Still need help on Gundams though (I have mobile suits for both sides, but no gundams). Since the year is A.C. 295 (100 years after EW)

Some of Gundam Wing's mobile suits were named after the Zodiac signs.

Leo, Cancer, Taurus, Aries, Pisces, Virgo, Virgo II that I can think of.

The Gundam characters along with the other characters were named after numbers in French, English, Japanese, Chinese, German, Italian Latin, and Russian.

If it takes place 100 years after the EW movie then everything would be new right? (From Characters, Mobile suits,to Organizations and anything else)

yea, basically, im still working on some things. Im not sure, but did the Pricipality of Zeon completely dissapate after the old series or are they so minute that they are nearly forgotten? Im sketching suits and stuff now, im not really any good at characters as you could tell. Organization wise, I originally had ZOA (Zeon-OZ Alliance), some random extremist factions from the colonies, and the EFA (Earth Federation Alliance). As I said, I did this a while back and im changing stuff around.

I think Gundam in general is one of the most successfull series out there.I never really actually watched any gundam shows from the beginning, but from the random episodes I've seen i think its pretty cool. But I dont really like the games that much. I dont think any of them actually captured the true essence of it( if you know what im trying to say...)The only gundam game I've ever really enjoyed was the FPS Simulation/strategy game for the sega dreamcast.

Tallgeese is probably my favorite.

The Vayeate, Aires, and Altron Gundam are pretty good ones as well from Gundam Wing.

The Gouf Custom and Flight Type from Gundam 8th MS team are cool.

Calamity Gundam, Blitz Gundam, Gold Frame Amatu, and GINN WASP from the series of Gundam Seed all look really nifty.

Mummy Gundam IV and Master Gundam awe awesome from the G-Gundam series.

Gundam Heavyarms Custom Kia hands down. Anyone that carries that much firepower is awesome. Mass-produced wise, probably the Serpent from EW (Virgo from the series). Tallgeese III is cool too. I love Zaku IIs from the older series. I love most of the Gundams from G-Gundam. I just had a pretty neat idea, but I doubt anyone would go for it. I thought of starting a Gundam fight club, maybe using my timeline, modified of course.
