Phantom Dust

Seeing as how we have so many xbox haters here I doubt many of you have ever played phantom dust, which needless to say is a damned shame. This is a purely japanese game through and through. Everything from the wonderful art direction to the creative gameplay and imaginative story.
Funny how this game does in fact play like a card game, but more of an action based card game. Not to mention using the powers here are the closest we might ever get to an awesome dbz "similar" game. Most impressive being when you simply shatter the environment when attacks miss their oppenents. Even sometimes when an opponent is hit midair they slam and "crater" into the ground. Needless to say its all amazing to watch and play.
The game does suffer a bit from level variety which is its only real fault. The levels that are here are great to play though. Not to mention xbox live funcionality and custom soundtrack support. Custom soundtracks should definately be in every single xbox game. Just awesome ripping through buildings and such with fireballs and telekenisis with Ramstein blazing in the background!

With a 20$ price tag this game is one I definately reccomend you at least try if you havent already. If anyone ever wants to game with me online on xbox live my gamertag is: OnehelluvaYoshi

I wanted to get this....but my Xbox is on the fritz. (This is the only thing I have against Microsoft.)

They changed the Xbox disk drive in the year 2002.

My box doesnt really read many games. Just the older ones. (I'm blaming it on the disk drive change.) But seeing that the new generation hardware will be out soon, I bring up the question, for what?

I can't do anything about it...but maybe buy another Xbox (to add to my other 2, that where also manufactured before 2002).

Never-the-less, I want this game pretty bad. (Oh its 20 bucks.? I might just buy it and see if it works.)

I heard there were over 100 power combinations...and stuff. :)

I'ma go get it tommorrow.

I play Halo2 more than anything...(seems to be the only game that really works on my Xbox's) :)

Yeah in a way it is kinda like a serious pokemon, you gotta collect over 300 powers to use. Which you can fully customize in a "deck". The cool thing is that it also plays like magic the gathering in a way in that it requires KI to use your abilities. Each power has a distinct KI cost and the deck can not have more than 2 different schools of powers.

I saw a preview of this on X-Play a while ago. It was funny how they made fun of the story... anyhow, it didn't really interest me.

Its already out in the states, has been for a lil while now. Retails new for 20$ and the story of this game is pretty damned cool once you get about half way through, helluva plot twist.

Oh yeah I forgot to add x-play just flat out blows in my opinion, I want to choke the very life from morgan web, she dont know shit about games and more so dont know shit about rpg's or good story telling....if there was ever a person that needed a duck to randomly fly into their face...

I didn't watch it for the reviews. I mostly watched it because it was entertaining. I usually disagree with all game critics.
