I just found the hard back version of DC comics thats a little different.
The story stars Batman and Superman and is told by both perspectives. The dialouge is well written and the work makes me want to cry!
The team behind this is Jeph Loeb, Michael Turner, and Peter Steigerwald.
Just get this series and Pray that they do the Teen Titans next (not the anime but the original)

Almost all the comics I read now are from DC's Vertigo imprint.
Sandman, Preacher, Swamp Thing, Transmetropolitan, 100 Bullets, Y The Last Man, Starman, Lucifer, Hellblazer . . .
Pretty much everything I like.
Marvel hasn't done anything that cool in a long time.

I can't even begin to comprehend how many different created comic book universes there are now.
Is this Batman and Superman one in some new universe or the actual original universe if there even is one anymore?

ALL of DC's comics take place in the same setting. They crossover like crazy.

Not all of DC's comics take place in the same setting/universe. One example is Superman/Tarzan (a DC Darkhorse crossover). There are others as well...
They do crossover like crazy though.
They had multiverses then solved the universe problem with the crisis series

What have you been reading of Marvel's though?
A lot of those writers that you love on those books now write at Marvel, too. Mike Carey wrote a couple issues of Ultimate Fantastic Four, Brian K Vaugh writes his own series, Runaways, as well as writing Ultimate X-Men for about a year or more now, Garth Ennis has been writing Punisher forever, and Neil Gaiman wrote the 1602 mini series. Alias was a really good title in the MAX imprint (Marvel's mature rated line of comics), Punisher as I mentioned, and Supreme Power is a really interesting take on a "realistic" version of the Justice League.
Don't get me wrong, I love DC's Vertigo lineup (moreso than their main books), but Marvel has some interesting stuff going on too, and they have for a while.

I like dc and marvel; I actually liked the early nineties comics that marvel made (the sketchy stuff) -if anyone is old enought to remember, on x-men (the tv show) the scenes looked drawn; the show had waaay too many scenes for me to keep track of (about 30 by the 1st commercial)
- okay, enough memory lane stuff; anyone read batman year one?

Ive been reading Astonshing X-Men for awhile now. It has some of the best art ive seen of both Marvel and DC. Check out John Cassady's stuff.

I liked Marvel pre Brian Micheal Bendis. DC is where it's at now. I liked Identity Crisis and the Omac Prject is interesting so far. Batman is a crazy bastard.

What do you have against Bendis?

I liked Marvel pre Brian Micheal Bendis. DC is where it's at now. I liked Identity Crisis and the Omac Prject is interesting so far. Batman is a crazy bastard.
I liked Identity Crisis, and was ALMOST interested in getting more into DC until they made it so that it was going to hit like every book they put out a month, and it was already overwhelming enough trying to get into a few characters, let alone an entire universe. Not a big fan of most of their books for that reason.
I love Brian Michael Bendis, but some things more than others. Besides, there are plenty of other prolific writers at Marvel that are COMPLETELY different from Bendis. Millar, Brian K Vaughn, and now Robert Kirkman are all doing very different stories than he is working on, and they're often fun, and much more accessible. Dan Slott is also a new favorite of mine, and he's like the anti-Bendis. But then, he seems to be pretty much opposite of where DC is going now, too.
