I hadn't planned on ranting, but I've seen a few too many people linking to that one site's survey that tells you what character you are in the last few days and had to change a few signatures. If it keeps up, I'll start banning a few of you.
Not only are the bleach ones too large, but our policy regarding licensed content downloading is pretty clear. Yes, the anime is unlicensed and we haven't exactly decided where we stand on that yet, but they also let you download the manga which you can buy elsewhere in English and is clearly forbidden in the rules.
On a related note, I might as well rant about a pet peeve of mine. Some of you may have been to other boards where the signature sizes were really large and you spent minutes waiting for the full length movies to download that people were sticking in their sigs. This is not one of those boards. Large sigs make reading conversations a pain in the ass and are just plain annoying. We don't care what anime character you most resemble or what your favorite fruit is. Those on 56k connections don't need to see the entire latest episode of your favorite anime in your sig every time they try to read a thread.
We don't care if you put a simple ad for you own website in your sig, but quit bombarding us all with large animations or advertisements to stuff that probably even you don't care about after 5 minutes.
So, having said all that, everyone reading this please look at your signatures right now to see if you are violating our already generous rules.
Personal Signatures:
Personal signatures are not uploaded, so we will be monitoring them and you will need to keep them within the following constraints:
No wider than 468 pixels, no higher than 60 pixels. The file size must be 20 KB or smaller. Any associated text should be 120 characters or less (including spaces).
Your entire sig (including text) should fit within this space:

If you are, I suggest you change your sig in the near future please, especially if you're still linking to that bleach site.
