Fave Manga/Anime movie

Hmm movie, I really enjoyed Grave of the Fireflies, I liked it more than Princess Monoke. I've never seen anything more emotional than that movie.

I've personally never have read any manga besides one book called "King of Hell", but technically it's manhwa (korean comic) that basically is identical in its layout to manga.

Hmm, I've read a number of your posts now Kino, and I would appreciate if you learned to put space after Periods (a bit of gramma control wouldn't hurt either).

And the shows you are talking about are not classified "Manga" they are classified "Anime", and since they are produced in japan they would very well classify as Anime.

Hey guy, Manga is not a holy over-genre. It's just a way to present a story. Besides, those're(new contraction!) targetted at little kids and they like it.

My personal all-time favorite is JinRoh as in the movie with the CB Movie and Akira behind in that order.

Kino I think I know why you're geting confused and it's all manga's fault. By manga I mean the company. Manga translated into english means something like irresponsible pictures and is used by the japanese when refering to comic books. Anime is an abreviated version of animation so obviously it means animation. Most people on the internet that discuss anime and manga generally use the terms in the same way teh japanese do. You were probably intorduced to anime by the company called manga, they generally have licenced more adult targeted animes such as perfect blue, akira, and so on but what they licence is only the tip of the iceberg... anime spreads into many (infact I doubt I'd be wrong if I said all) genres. If you think digimon and astroboy are corny and pathetic then try a bit of hello kitty ^_^ hehe I'm sure you'll change your mind. Also did you know that Astroboy is the grand daddy of anime? keep that in mind.
My fave genre's of anime and manga tend to be more orientated towards girly stuff... Odd yes. Uncommon no.
Fave manga - Maison Ikkoku
Fave anime series - Chobits or Fumoffu (looking into getting hold of FMA)
Fave movie - I wouldn't really like to say there're too many I like... Miyazaki ones kick ass.
I bet you like DBZ and Gundam... am I right? either way I think you'd like fist of the north star (series not movie) it's old but action packed and violent... little real plot though :P

If there is one thing I despise about anime is that when a character always to repeat the name of another character for what seems to be an unnecessary and annoying reason and I unfortuntly see it all the time.

The worst contenders from what I've seen are .Hack//Twilight and Comic Party and some times in Chobits (which I tried to like but I can't stand much with all the perverted humor it contains). Not only do they have exactly what I hate but they also do it in annoying loud voices that can penetrate the ears of an Elephant and kill it.

Speaking of Last Exile, Digital Cable channel G4Tech Tv's "Anime Unleashed" just recently finished the entire series... it was a great series too!

i like hayao miyazaki's films. they are super cool! they are very creative and weird. i think so far my fav. movie from him is, kiki's dilivery scervice and princess mononoke. :thumbsup2

I have not seen very many anime movies, but out of the ones I have seen so far I think my favorite is Cowboy Bebop the Movie. Even though it had too much blood and gore for me, I believe it was very well made.

Ninja Scroll was pretty good. Despite its simple storyline it was one of the very first anime movies I saw its always a fun one to watch. This one has much more blood and nudity than Cowboy Bebop the movie can shake a stick at.
