Question about Naruto

I've seen all 115 thus far episodes of Naruto and I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a chance that Naruto would be released for North American television. I think Naruto would be such a big hit to any tv station it would be broadcasted on... of course with all the perverted and sexual inside jokes it would need a lot of editing lol.

.. Darn, gotta wait till Jan. 5 until the japanese episode 116 is released.

One other question. I missed the conclusion to the outside fight with Gaara after he transformed into that giant Sand Raccoon monster fighting Naruto.
Does anyone know what happend to Gaara after the fight?

Umm, last I heard it was being dubbed by FUNimation. So chances are it'll show up on Adult Swim.

No, it's not licensed yet, though it probably will end up with funimation if/when it does. It's one of the most popular anime over there, so I'm sure it's bound to happen eventually. A friend of mine who works for a company in the US said that they were trying to charge quite a bit for it, so I would imagine that's part of what's holding it back at the moment. But that's just a guess.

Let's all just hope it doesn't end up with 4kids because no show deserves that fate.

I'm not so sure myself.

Southpark is able to make racial and sexual offending remarks yet in other cartoons that aren't necessarily aimed for young children they tend to edit out cursing and blood, so what is the world coming to? They can censor our tv but they will never take our dirty INTERNET from us!

Get this, The last family guy episode "Wish upon a Weinstein" was never aired on Fox television because it was "controversial" . Give me a break, yeah like Fox hasn't done much worse things in the past... that's just ridiculous. Now once the show comes back to Fox television again they will "edit the controversial episode". I almost fell out of my chair when I heard that. For god sakes, reality shows show worse things that should be subject to more editing than cartoons like Family Guy.



Man, I'm afraid they'll commit murder to the Naruto name if they butcher it with so much editing.

well, if you've seen the episode, it could pretty easily be construed as anti-semitic even though i'm sure the producers meant nothing of the sort. they just didn't want to get sued by jewish activist groups. in order to show content like the kind South Park does, they need a disclaimer. and anime producers don't want to put a disclaimer on their shows because they know their biggest market is under 18. so is south park's, but because they're on comedy central which is extended cable they can get away with it. fox has a lot more hoops they have to jump through.

Yeah, I've seen the F. Guy episode many times and I personally didn't find any of it to come off as offensive considering I'm jewish but then again that seems to be a different situation with censorship and stuff. Thanks for clearing that up oolong. :)

What song is that when Gaara and Rock Lee fight in episode 48? It's not on the OST, and come to think of it, neither is the song from episode 50 when Rock Lee powers up and lays the smackdown on Gaara.

both an anime and a manga. If you want to dl the anime, then just do a search for naturo torrents, and you should find a number of sites. There are 115+ episodes though, so it might take a while...

You're not the first to ask that. I don't think anyone knows yet since they're not on either of the two OST's that are out. Maybe it'll be on the 3rd one, though I have no idea when that's supposed to come out.

Animesuki is a safe site, at least I've never had any problems with it. I've downloaded all my Anime from there, from Full Metal Alchemist to Naruto to Bleach, never had any viruses or anything. And actually, it wouldn't be Animesuki that had the virus, its just a mirror site. But I'd reccomend the fansub group Dattebayo for Naruto Downloads, they are usually the first ones up and good quality.

I use real player and it works fine.

You probably got an avi format download inwhich some cases tends to just play the audio but not always the video too, its annoying sometimes.

I have tried downloads from animesuki on real player, it the video doesn't play, neither does the audio.

If the file extension is .avi, you will not get a virus. Unless someone tries to trick you into opening a file with some other extension (especially .exe), you are generally safe.

Again, if you're missing either audio/video/both that usually means you're missing a specific codec (encoder/decoder) on your computer to play them. The codec is the software they used to compress the audio and video data. Avi is just a format to package the two and audio and video can sometimes be in different formats.

Look at the animesuki links I posted before here http://www.polykarbonbbs.com/showthread.php?t=965. If you follow those steps and install the proper codecs, you should be able to play just about 99% of the files on animesuki. Most of the problems come from either a missing or conflicting codec. As animesuki recommends, you should try to uninstall codecs before going through their steps.

You might need more codecs (coding/decoding) for Media Player. I suggest downloading DivX codecs. I bet they'll work after that. If you still can't play them then try getting this French media player called VLC.

2) after the fight, he gets carried away by his siblings after realizing the meaning of his existence is not to kill everone else, but can be to protect others and only through protecting can one become the strongest he can be
3) animesuki.com and narutochuushin.com are the best sources for naruto anime and manga, respectively
4) i hope an american company does not license the series because 9/10 they butcher the show and the dubbing is usually horrid (dbz comes to mind there although i believe that ranma 1/2 was excellently dubbed)
