this is not really a tutorial since it is only to give you some guidelines to stick to when drawing katana. there are many different types of katana and thus there are many posible ways to "design" them.

I know this just says random katana drawings but do you know how to draw some other weapons (nunn chukks, bowstaffs, Zanbantu's that sort of stuff.)

..wow i just finished a drawing containing a katana and compared to the ones in this tut it just looks like a fancy banana *sniff*(i did add ribbons tho :P)
