f33db4ck: I like the twist you've chosen. I believe you were going for the Daddy Daycare approach... yes? The fact that you have Mr. Pumpkin stressing out is amusing and the babies are cute. Clearly out of control (bazooka)
I haven't chosen this as one of my choices. Even though I like the idea behind it, I think you could have done a lot better. The background is lacking. Coloring is flat. I understand that you may be a beginner or not as pro as some people and have considered this fact. I just think that, considering the speed in which you entered the pic, you could have put a lot more time into the peice.
I got a giggle out of it so kudos to you anyway :)

raunio: I quite like this pic :) I love the clouds and overall colouring. That rabbit looking thing is just adorable, even though I thought it was a mushroom or toadstool at first. My main gripe with it personally is that although the Pumpkin guy is the focal point of the pic, there doesn't seem to be much else to look at. After the clouds and the rabbit it all seems a little boring. A little bit more background would have been nice to put a bit of distance between the Pumpkin guy and the sky, but thats just nitpicky. I hope none of that sounded harsh since it wasn't really constructive, it was more down to my personal tastes. It's nice though :D

Adkit: Bonus points for the pacman ghosts :P This image is very much the epitomy of old school holiday contest submissions. Take a sexy girl and dress her up (usually rather skimpily) for the occasion. Such as the classic almost nude sexy girl with santa hat on for Christmas, and the almost nude sexy girl with bunny ears on for Easter. I like the fact you haven't really glamorised them, the mummy lady actually looks as though she'd be pretty gross under the bandages and the Frankenstiens monster lady looks rather butch.
Anatomy seems faily okay, butchness aside. The main problems appear to lie in the perspectives and foreshortening. The scene apears very wobbily and almost surreal and dream like, which would be more than appropriate. If it wasn't for that fact that it appears more likely unintentional I'd likely give praise for giving that feeling. Overall it's a nice effort and I don't think I would dare ;) keep it up.

Lardge: I love the idea behind this image :) I'll admit it took a few seconds to sink in though. I'd have appreciated the image more if it was closer to how the movie looked regarding the 'pods' and the large columns that they connect to, but thats not an issue since you get the message across nicely that it's a Matrix spoof. The main downfall of the image is probably the closest pumpkins. The image seems to get more detailed as the objects get closer to the viewer but then it just seems to stop and detail stays to a minimum. I think adding more detailed texturing on the nearest pumpkin would give this image a big boost as far as quality would go. I love the way it has been coloured, reminds me of wax crayons for some reason.

Cepheus: This is a fun image. It's colourful and there's a lot to look at. I like the proportions of the characters and the soft colouring on the skin. I don't think the soft shading and highlights go to well with everything else though and I feel like there should be some darker shades in a few areas. Also the characters don't appear to be grounded very well. This next gripe is just down to personal tastes so it shouldn't really be a problem that you should worry about but I really don't like the curviness of the house. Love the bats and mailbox however :)

Papercut285: Ignoring the explanation behind this pic you gave while submitting, I have no clue whats going on. I don't think it would have taken a lot of effort to have a hand in there holding a glass. The hair is ghostly and I like how you have the cut offs as opposed to the traditional fade outs of ghosts. I think I've seen you use a technique like that in another of your pics. The red really stands out but thats expected since it's not very colourful. AS I've already said, the hair is very ghostly and the cut offs are interesting enough for me to like this but I think it's a little to unfinished :) hope you add to this even though the contest submissions are done with.

LingTina: Definately an interesting situation to put dracula into. I think it would be cool to see a movie about vampires engaged in sporting combat such as cage fighting or something. I had a little difficulty reading the text due to the font, it made me concentrate more and as a result I spotted "Blood Thristy opponent"... not important since we should be concentrating more on the art side I think.
I can understand that you were going for a kind of poster or advert feel to it but I really dislike the frame. I'm not sure if you were attempting to give a look of wood or if you just fancied something interesting around the edge, either way it doesn't really work in my oppinion. As far as the Vamp itself goes (it may or may not be Dracula) I like the gold looking parts of the costume, the cuffs and collar etc. There are some issues with the legs as far as the colouring goes they just seem flat, and the rest of the shading looks to sudden a jump from dark to light considering how soft you have the transitions. Also I think the head is way to femine to go with those big brute legs.
All in all though I like the idea and there seems to be a lot of effort put into this one so thumbs up.

darkreaver: This reminds me of a movie I watched on TV last night called She Creature. I don't think I would have gotten the idea behind this without an explantion, it's obviosly a transformation but I wouldn't have though 'underwater werewolf' :P I can't really find a flaw in this piece. I love pretty much everything about it. The colour scheme of it, those bits of red just bring it alive. The texture of it, theres such a murky feeling given by whatever brush you've used. I can't help but feel that you've gotten a great idea down with little time put in, there's a rushed feel to it as though it literally took a few minutees to get down. I know this is likely not the case but the quality on top of that feeling just makes me think to myself "wow".
I really do have troube picking anything wrong, if I'd have made this I'd have likely been a little less satisfied with the shoulders/upper arms of the guy (thing) in the first stage of tranforming more than anything else. Something just seems a bit meh. I don't think it's reasonable to pin anatomy issues to it though since it's not human. You get a vote :)

pigeonkill: Let me just start by saying you get a vote. Then let me follow with, I'm not sure how this fits in with the theme. I'm giving you the vote purely by the artwork standard. I'm not entirely sure whats going on and though it's dark and very noirish on a supernatural level it's beautiful. The strokes looks so loose yet lovely. The colours are dull yet give the peice a lot of life... or maybe thats the brush strokes again? I could look at this for hours.

Thanks alot for those kind words :D. I'm not happy about the background or the coloring at all. I did hurry in making it since i was afraid it wouldn't be finished in time. I wanted to make the background with more details. Also I'm really bad in coloring so it wouldn't be good even if I didn't rush throuh it. Oh well, it looks better than I thought it would :P

Yeah, I know the pods are not the same, but the time was short and I had to do something. :tear: Really wanted to do those "real" pods, but i started too late and had much to do...well, well...
And I should had put more time on the closest one too, but I got the same excuse as above. :huh:
