Only because Phl asked me to, im making a hair tutorial. Theres really nothing much to it, you just gotta know how you want the hair to look like

so this is what ill be working with. Its a bit sketchy but that will be cleaned up later.

so ive cleaned it up, nows the time when you wanna think about what kind of hair you want your character to have. Think about things like what kind of personality does this character have? what kind of look do i want to give him? his he heroic or a wimp? girl or boy? yada yada yada...
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a285/sparda09/Image3.jpg
so this is how I start drawing my hair. i always begin with the front, i find it easier to do the front first, then work on the top and work my way down back to the front.

since i learned how to draw from pat, creator or polykarbon, you will see a similarity to how i explain this, especially this step. what those arrows mean is basically the flow of the hair. where you want the hair to blow or whatever. just basically the strands of hair
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a285/sparda09/4.jpg
so here youll see what i mean when i say i work on the front, then go to the
top and work my way down.

and now, the finished product. now the character looks like a heroric feirce leader with the spikey messy hair. you should try experimenting with all sorts of hair styles. take hair styles from your favorite characters and put them on heads of different looking people, and remember the best way to learn to draw is by copying other people first!!
