Color Art Strange Self Portrait [Mild Adult Theme, No Nudity]

I've popped on this account again -- the first time since High School! I remember posting here in middle school too, but I've spent so much time at conceptart.org that I totally forgot about the PolyKarbon Kingdom

Just thought I post my new self portrait here, so you don't think I'm some grumpy meanie here to just critique.

sif go to conceptart over us

not bad, but personally i feel the shirt/neck detracts from the picture. those areas don't look finished.

I've since cropped the picture a bit:

and tried to re-do some of the angle on the head, since I wanted it to be looking forward.

XD, I like conceptart :(

It feels like the two sides of the face doesn't quite line up. The seem in the middle is off center and then right eye (our right) is not as round as the left one and seems like it doesn't focus on us.

Really nice rendered though. Must be because that I see it this big that I notice the errors.

Yes, the seam is off center, because... well I hate to say it but it was drawn from life that way. That mask never fits my face perfectly, beacuse it's stretchy and leather-like, not real leather.

Note also that the left eye (my left) is squinting more because it's in direct light. I drew it straight from observation.

Not trying to make excuses, but I did measure things out before I started ^^; and thanks for all the cool comments
