1. No.
2. Concept Art. 3. PaintToolSai does it, Just need to copy and past reference on different layer. 4. No, knowing what to do is important but art is something you learn by constantly refining. 5. Everyone got old and died off.

i thought you did, i don't think we're in the position of becoming some exclusive club.
At the very least you could block off access to parts of the board so it could LOOK like we have something to offer.

1. No. Draw from life before doing the anime thing.
2. No. PolyKarbon is king, do not go anywhere else. 3. If it does what you want, then use Art Rage then. 3a. PaintTool Sai is very good, too. 4. No. You can learn the very basics, but for anything else, you must draw from life, draw from life, draw from life. 5. What's wrong with 10 active members, exactly? With you, that makes 11.

use as many different mediums as you can. Sculpt, watercolor, ect. And as for tracing, just use something like gimp or any art program with layers and copy from that. Just fade the original so you can tell the images apart.
And also you need to understand what your eye sees -art's basically cheating your senses. Drawing=visual. Your goal should be to be able to fool your eyes. To fake it, you must understand the real thing. I'm still working on that.
