![]() I want to add scales, and do up a decent background next.
![]() ![]() Thanks in advance. *So; I'm havin' some trouble with the shadow between him and the ground, but I'll get it in round 3; along with the rest of the light/shadow from the flame. Also, the background will come last.* Last edited by CaptainSNAFU : 05-18-2006 at 09:06 PM. |

![]() Looks good,
I'm not sure if you wanted to hint a tongue. It could be sticking out in a vile manner. You could experiment with the skin in between the wing spans, it could be slightly transparent or have tattered edges to show more of an ancient feel. (Whatever floats your boat ![]()

![]() also, if there is any flame or light within his mouth, it would illuminate his cheeks a bit. The cheeks in front, that is. :b

![]() Thanks.
What's a wyvern? Lei? What? WHAT!? Imma do up some scales, and work on the light from the flame. I don't know why I didn't put any blue in the shadows, I should have; and now I will. Thenk you. ![]() |

![]() Wow, so smooth x.x Almost looks like a 3d rendering. Yeah, I would say change the front legs from the small straight pose to perhaps a more bent and larger pose...but that's just me. Looking forward to it!

![]() Love. That. Fire.
Try foreshortening his toes--right now it doesn't look like they're resting on anything. Rather, the dragon's front limbs seem to be slipping down a steep incline. I would recommend bending his arms too, but with this sort of style, realistic/logical anatomical mechanics don't seem entirely necessary. Looks really great so far. ![]() |

![]() Ooh, nice!
For scales, I'd be careful not to overdo it and ruin that smooth finish. Some hinting of it in the highlights should be enough. Quote:
So no, I wouldn't say this is a wyvern. |

![]() The composition is great! The lighting, texture and the emotion that you add from this point forward will make or break it, but no pressure!

![]() emerson: This is at 144 pixels per inch; but I don't know why. I kinda just started working thinking it wouldn't turn into anything. Ohwell, at least it's not TOO small.
joe: Thanks! However, I'm not sure I get exactly what the oval selection/feather/invert/levels tip does. You say to help establish a focal point, that I get, but what should I be noticing? I'm genuinly interesting in understanding this, so; I appreciate it, whether you come back to read this or not. ![]() pofo: Thanks, I can digit. Though, I think I will make the scales blatant, but only on his back. I think it will work. shadow: Yeah; I don't really like his toes either, I think I'll chop them of and do em' right. Imma leave the legs alone though. gmpilot: I like the legs up front; and since it would be somthing of a pain to change them, Imma leave. Thank you for posting though, I have some inherent problems with poses. Thanks again; party people in the place to be. ![]() |
