Something off with the water... it looks posterized. Some harder-edged highlights on the fish would make it look much wetter.

I do like the color scheme. Colorful but subdued overall--and very atmospheric.

i think the fish needs to stand out more, also, he doesn't appear too shiny right now.

I don't know whether it's just me, but the horizon doesn't look right. It seems that the change from water to sky is just too .... sharp. And I think the water is a bit flat.

Way better than anything I can do on PS though. Very well done!

Maybe add more ripples where hes jumping out of the water and the background water looks a little flat and pixelised, yet I'm no expert on water :( . The fish looks good though, nice warm colours.

edit: jeez as I was typing this 3 ppl posted before me D: , I also agree with the shiny thing though, if hes wet (and a fish) he should have quite strong lighting on him.

Ack! You're right, the water does suck. My only excuse is that it looked better on the other screen. Tried to fix that and the fishy shading. Better?
Didn't do much about the horizon, it looks quite right for an ocean horizon at twilight in very clear atmosphere I think.

I like it so far. I think you ought to blur the horizon (especially since it's extra hazy at the ocean...and also because your sun is kind of fuzzed out by haze a bit already). Blend the ocean and sky a little more. Also, I think using some cooler colors in the background will help the fish stand out more. Right now the colors on the fish are just as warm as the ocean receding into the distance. :B

Thanks
...
Something like that? I must say, that put a lot more depth to the background.

Something about the splash is off. Maybe it would seem more realistic if it looked more connected to the water?

The splashes looks...dull. It needs sparkles! I love the rest, keep up the good work!

Ah, sorry didn't see the new replies.
I'm not really planning any more updates since I already gave this one away. But I'm grateful for your input nevertheless. Thanks.

Nice, this is beautiful, dispite mistakes other artist point out. Thing oyu gotta know, and you selling it is proof, people whom buy your art will not recognize mistakes like that. Which is why its good, only when the mistake is obvious, does it keep them from buying it. So, just a few words of encouragement, I think you are very highly skilled at this, and I'd like to see you improve.
