My friend sent me a clown face pic to try to scare me... so I painted it and sent it back to him even scarier. Hahaha!

Nice colors on that latest one.
The one with the cathedral, I love how imposing the building looks, though it almost looks like it's also bowing a little bit towards the camera when you get to the second part. Maybe it's intentional, since I also feel like it adds to the oppressive feeling it gives. Maybe it's not, and in that case, watch out for that. :P

Niiiice. Architecture still not one of my strengths. Any chance of a mini tutorial on how you do your texturing?

@joe: Thanks for pointing it out Joe! It's actually not intentional, I'll definitely fix it
@Dizom: Thanks! I'm actually still in the middle of trying to figure out texture, I'll see what I can do when I'm more confident with it.

I've been waay too busy to do much, but here's something I just did... Still wip, also included the color sketch i was working off of Still figuring out textures and lights.

Thanks Muzz! definitely having a great time here in france x) there are lots of things that don't live up to the hype but gobelins is not one of them. I've been there 6 months and still feel like I'm getting mindblown every week. Very solid animation training for sure.

Something I worked on for fun to learn how to do camera moves manually I did the background in tvpaint itself drawing and moving it frame by frame so I actually have no idea right now how i can sync it with a separate background that's painted for real x'D I'll figure it out...

That's a pretty tasty wip, there. Very dynamic. Can't imagine how long that took.
Looking forward to a feature-length film from you. Would love to see Lauren chucking fire at some dragons

!!!

...anyways, re: background... I suppose the main thing is to separate it out into flat-ish planes, scroll + parallax them as necessary, and redraw perspective where you have to?

Most animation I can think of either does 3d backgrounds, blank or very simple backgrounds, or very simple camera moves that don't change perspective.

@joe: haha maybe! I would really love to make feature films but it's unthinkably difficult at the moment, maybe in the far future. Right now it's basically kungfu vikings with magic, having a lot of fun with it, I hope to have enough time sometime to commit to a webcomic like you xD

@djinn: Thanks for the suggestion This pan is doable with the fish eye perspective, I went with getting the frames out and assembling a panorama from them.

Here it is at 12 fps and a separate background tested:

I seem to be favoring vertical compositions lately...
