Default Anime / Photoshop Tutorials

These are tutorials I did a while back. They cover a lot of beginner Photoshop how-to questions on layers and miscellaneous fx. There's also a section on Anime which covers drawing hands, eyes, ears, cging, and more.

Hope this helps some people out. The ones with an "*" are the more popular or extensive tutorials, so check those out first if you wish. Good luck!

Wow, the hand photograph gallery especially has helped me out a bit and just wanted to thank you!

Lol, and to think I tried to do it myself by drawing with my left hand while looking at my right hand for reference which made it way too difficult to draw.

Same on the other photograph references ^_^.

I have a bone to pick, however, with the illustration of the contrapposto under stickfigure (you can tell I'm paying attention ). You've defined the weightbearing side and center of gravity with the red line but in a real contrapposto The weightbearing leg is the leg with its waist supposedly pointing up with the relaxed leg dragging or drooping along.

Before you get all smarmy with your art class, maybe you should think for a second. The weightbearing side is the side that is BEARING THE WEIGHT, regardless of the classical rules of your "real contrapposto".

If you look at what he drew, I think you'll find that the weight is distributed naturaly.

Sorry if that was rather rude, but I've been noticing that a lot of your posts seem to be more focoused on proper usage of artistic terminology then on drawing.

Studying art and classical forms is good, as long as you remember that it is useless knowlege unless you know when and how to apply it.

do you think i could use that first digital coloring tutorial with photoshop elements 2? I know it wouldn't be exactly right, but do you think it would be close?

Only one way to find out CuriousJoe8. ^^ Give it a shot and let me know how it turns out. All you really need is any photoshop-esque program that has the ability to create and utilize layers and colors.
