I'm a huge fan of 2Bs actually, they give my luffly (debatable) figures more life imo. x3 Though my drawings aren't exactly the neatest, true...

Kay I dunno if the last one was a serious piece, but letting 1 tone fade to white is a bad, bad idea. D;

Otherwise, good pose and lineart. Great improvements!!! Keep it up!!

Thanks. But why is it letting one tone fade to white a bad idea?

A colored sketch of some characters for a comic. Reference material was used. As you can see more work went into the lines than the color.

The lineart looks good, but the fade-to-white thing made the whole piece look flat and rather lifeless.

It worked with what you did above, but not with color pencils.

Anyway, the posing's coming along very nicely. Keep updating!

astrapho: Thank you for explaining that for me.

Another colored sketch of a previous character. A background included this time.

Looking through your sketchbook it is obvious that you have worked very, very hard to improve your skills, and put in the work to do all the reference studies. I look forward to seeing more from you.

I do think you might benefit from doing some studies of people in motion, as it would improve the "aliveness" of your drawings overall. Right now I think they mostly look... bored? I believe someone else mentioned taking advantage of the "curviness" of lines as well.

Also, try and diversify what you draw. All of us have the things we love to draw (for me it's guns, armor, and all that) but drawing other things will round out your talents and make you a better artist in the long run.

Again, vast improvements. Keep up the good work!

Lonely Operator: Thanks for the criticism. I'll try to take it to the next level using your suggestions. Can you tell which ones you found to be boring please?

I would like to thank everyone who helped me reach this point. I really appreciate it.

Another character concept. Reference used, as with the previous post.

Machete Girl

The first idea, which I scratched.

Suggestions and/or criticisim are welcomed.
Thanks for looking.

None of your drawings are boring, I meant a lot of your characters look bored, a la:

Perhaps practicing different facial expressions would help? Try drawing someone smiling or laughing! I need to work on this as well, all my characters look as if they want to kill something >.>

Hello, I apologize for being away for some time. Here are some sketches that I've done while away.
Suggestion and criticism are welcome. While away I noticed I kept hitting a wall in my drawings. I know it's nothing knew. But it is rather frustrating when you spend a week or so on the same thing; and no good results.

Silent retreat

A character outfit design, but I haven't been able to finalize it yet.

Hello.
A few of you, may remember me. I had to come a way from the forum for a long while and I couldn't practice like I wanted. But I kept the ideas going.

I really like the outfit design for the characters, though some of the borders look a little blurry. Try to use a hard-edged brush instead.
Are ya gonna share that story with us?

Thanks. I like fashion design.

I'm so focused getting the idea out of my head, that I fail to take my time and clean up my work. But I will endeavor to clean up my art in future post.

About the story. Basically I got ideas from Jet Set Radio and Mirror's Edge. I will it reveal it pieces as I complete characters. The first character is Zip, who I already posted up above.
