Glen Keane, Steve Gordon, Stan Lee.

If I have any art books from these guys it is the equivalent of what the Bible means for some people. Treasured, sacred book.

I got a Pocahontas book from a friend.
I got some Steve Gordon books from his website.

Hyung-Taekim is a more recent fav of mine.
Oh and Toi8 (idk his(?) real name) is another.
Both very, very good with character design in general.

A little fun for the weekend, list your favorite Hiwatt "Artists".

First and foremost, the Hiwatt holy trinity: Dave, Daphny, and Buster!

And Runners up:

David Gilmour
Tommy Bolin
Robert Fripp

Don't know if anyone mentioned him before, but I was blown away by Caspar David Friedrich and his Sea of Ice.

Cool, I wonder if you like other romantic landscape painters, like Turner for example?

Hello, 2011. It's 2014 now, but I still like the insane mastery of Heinrich Kley.

He's been mentioned in this thread before, but usually folks think of him for his imaginative doodles of anthropomorphic animals dancing with fat people. I was perusing the digital Jugend Archives and noticed he was also a master pen & ink draughtsman at straight-up representative illustration:

For those who like hi-res digital copies of badass art, the source link (http://digi.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/dig...end1898_1/0167) zooms to 4x larger.

...and like a million others that I can't think of at the time. Kevin Chen is definitely number one, though.
