I was talking with someone about the rule of thirds and I thought it was usually a boring composition now. Most people will put their subjects (people, objects, something interesting) on the points of the "rule of thirds" composition, when you have a thousand pictures with the same composition its nice to see something different.

So I thought you can still achieve the balance that the rule of thirds provides without putting the object of interest in the golden mean area (where the thirds intersect) by using values or brush strokes at each intersection. The values would balance the composition while giving you freedom on placing the figure anywhere you want. So I tried that with a dark patch of ground and a dark part of the clouds both being in opposite thirds, then scribbled a person right in the middle with no composition

I painted this in Photoshop today, took about 25 mins. I really like doing abstract stuff and i think this one came out good.

EDIT*****

it's weird how you kinda instantly know what it is but then look at it and think... why do I know what that is?
I like it... it sort of confuses me... I like being confused... probably.
