I've prolly been a member of PK for months without really posting much of anything of mine(I counted 2!) from my fear of criticism, but not anymore! I'll start this off with some sketches I've been working on for too long that are part of the drawings ill be submitting for scholarships, please critique and make suggestions (be gentle on my virgin ears...or eyes...whatever , and forgive the huge image sizes, apparently I have a fear of resizing...or am I just lazy @_@! )



















After i clean these up they'll most likely end up on dA...because I'm sure I'll be torn a new one here and I'll need random compliments to heal p.p
(also, i hate my scanner with a passion)

I dunno what you had to fear xD I love what you have posted. My favorite is the third from last.

They are kinda big. but it's cool with me. Helps give a better look of the close ups of the characters IMO.

Whoa. Every character seems to be quite different. And some of the expressions are really sexay. Quite the jealous person, I am. Rose and Ryusuke are my favorites.

The BIGGEST thing that really burns my fries is the lack of a back of the skull on a lot of your characters. Namely it's all of the 3/4 mug shots. The ear generally divides the head in half, the rest of your brain fitting in the latter part of the skull. So you might wanna extend the hair just a little bit or something? Other than that I'm quite impressed.

your custom design and style are interesting. very good sense of figure for someone that are lack of anatomy knowledge. however, none of the drawing is draw correctly, correct me if i'm wrong. like aznpb said not enough head mass. but ur getting there. keep drawing.

Those are awesome. They have nice shading and shapes. I did noticed a few things though.

The feet tend to look too small. I think the feet of Edwardo, Eicho, and Ryusuke are definitely too small. Also the one foot that’s in profile on each of these is smaller than the other. Its especially obvious on Eicho.

The one of Daisy in the suit: The forearms get too thin. I know the upper arms are foreshortened but it realy donesn't look that way and her head seems huge even inside the helmet.

The curled fingers on Cherry’s right hand are too small and her thumbs are really weird. Too thin perhaps?

I agree with AznPB about the head thing. Your drawings seem to show a lot of the character of what your drawing well.

Oh and a bit smaller size would be easier to critique, just enough to fit the whole figure on one screen.

Those are pretty awesome~ a friend of mine draws little hands and feet, your style reminds me of hers. I love how soft and clean your shading is.
I really like Ryusuke and Daisy just a cutie~

AznPB - i've never really noticed that b4, think i should just try drawing the actual shape of the head/skull b4 starting features then?

Avian - i thought the feet were looking too big x.x i hate foreshortening so much, but i think most of the proportions were off in the closeups because its the first time ive ever really tried close ups. Also, i was trying to make Daisy look a lot younger compared to everyone else, but as i guess everyone noticed, big head @.@, i couldnt really figure out what was wrong but i knew something looked really off.

so..in general i should try drawing the main shapes of the body/head and then go into details to help make sure proportions are right? i have a burne hogarth figure drawing book but it hasn't really helped me too often so far.

To think you managed to achieve that with just pencil. Really love the shading, brings the drawings to life. Found the different expressions very pleasant, kinda gives an insight to what each character looks like depending on their mood.

Sheesh Rose looks really ticked off, remind me not to get on her bad side I'd love to critisize but my ability to draw is nowhere near at your level so I shouldnt talk. Im still taking my baby steps when it comes to drawing.

All-in-all your drawings are pleasing to the eye, hope to see more from you

You, my friend, have what around these parts we call "the goodies." Awesome clean linework and pencil shading. Not to mention great range of facial expressions and clothing.

This is some pretty amazing stuff.
The sketches in the last post, some don't look really 'right' to me, but that's probably why they're still sketches, and with difficult poses too.

Just keep drawing and you'll have those perspective drawings right in mere months (or weeks, depends on how much you draw... It'd certainly take me months )
