![]() So.
I have great plans in increasing my sketching. And I thought it would be good for me to start a new sketchbook. I'll really try to keep this thread active. ![]() And why don't start with a classic? A rondom nude guy standing on his toes. That's bloody hard. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Lardge : 03-17-2007 at 03:11 AM. |

![]() You better start sketching more...stupid WoW is hurting you :p
For the painting, everything is far too blurry and messy. Just start of on small projects, getting you technique and skill up a little bit, then go onto larger pictures.

![]() I smell that sweet smell of improvement :O
You have some good stuff, especially those last two pieces done, the perspective on the dog is very nicely pulled off. As for your photoshop pieces, I recommend sticking with the default hard brush, and refrain from using a softer one, or a textured one. Use large brushes practically throughout the whole thing, and only at the end start making it smaller to add in the details you want. Try and refrain from putting in details straight away, stay big with your brush. Either way, I am liking what I see here. Lets see some more! :D |

![]() These two newest ones are nice. I like the dog, but the shadow doesn't really fit the image. Everything else is done with hard brush strokes and it's smooth and airbrushy. And nice ass.

![]() yeah flashies, i try to make big brush strokes, but sometimes i kinda forgett. And i kinda like my textured brush, it gives the paintings more of a "irl painted"-feeling.
![]() Glad you liked the dog alu, and i can see what you med by "but the shadow doesn't really fit the image". but what do you exactly mean by "Everything else is done with hard brush strokes and it's smooth and airbrushy"? Nice to know that you appreciated the ass. I put down much time on it, 'cuase i like big butts and i can not lie. ![]() Thanks OniCloud. ![]() Oh and by the way, the two last pics are drawn with reffs. Just so you know. |

![]() Well, on the dog, all the brush strokes are evident. It's really bold and painterly. The shadow is really smooth and blended, which doesn't fit the style of the rendering on the dog.

![]() Sorry, I just realized I left out the point that its probably best if you start using the textured brushes near the end of the painting to help add to the effect.
Learn how to create texture through a normal brush rather than a textured brush. Though of course its always fun to do a piece using a textured brush only. Sorry about the mis-understanding. Just make sure you practice with a normal brush first, learn to use it, and make sure you aren't relying on a textured brush. |

![]() Wha, I've been away for some time now. Thanks very much for the comments. And Flashies, the textured brushs is the thing that keeps me motivated to draw. It's just so much funnier. I can clearly understand your point when you say that I should draw with normal brush, but due to my lazyness don't i think it will happend.
