Hey, I'm gonna try my best to keep this place updated! >:O

Right so, I think I've pretty much made up my mind, and I'm gonna go for a Model Making and Special Effects for film course in College after the summer... atleast thats the plan as long as I get enough points etc. The choice is between Industrial Design and Model Making. On one hand, maybe theres more job opportunities in Industrial design, and its a lot more practical. But on the other hand, with model making I'd be working with much more imaginative concepts not bound by the fabrics of reality. Which is absolutely kick ass.
I still have till July 1st to decide, but after seeing the coursework from both colleges/courses I'm pretty sure of what I want to do.

Right, enough words.

These two are kinda old, second one drawn with a brown pen... I wish I still had that brown pen.



These ones are all from about 2 months back from my mock art exams.
Kinda unfinished... it was an assignment based on a passage from girl with the pearl earwig...ehhh... I mean O_o


Maybe 15 mins each? Same model, although doesn't really look it... need to work on that.



This one probably spent about 1Hr 20 mins. I had to memorize the cow from a reference... so it didn't turn out too hot.



I'm gonna spend a good bit of time screwing with digital painting over the summer. I haven't really got fully into it yet, but I've already picked up a few things over the years. I've got PS, OC, ArtRage (which I only yesterday discovered the magic of) and I downloaded GIMP just out of curiosity... seems a bit confusing when you've worked a bit with photoshop though.

I hope I'll learn a lot here, and help out too

Wow really nice stuff here :P I really like the first picture with the reflection, its really well done The poses of your sketches looks a very bit weird so I guess you could simply do more to get better XD but it looks like you got the basic shapes fastly. your paintings are nice too. good luck with the digit paints

Cheers Flyingchild, I found those poses just really unnatural in the first place. The actual pose instructions were written down as part of the exam. So that couldn't be helped ¬_¬... I think maybe I captured one of them at a slight angle with the camera so might look a bit wonky. Couldn't scan them cause they're A2 :P

I have hundreds of shitty little doodles all over my school notes. I'm thinking about just snapshotting each of them, then compiling them into 2 or 3 images, as a nice collection of mindrot! D:

i really like the watercolor, especially the fish and pans.

poses do look a bit stiff though, but i like them, i like the brown pen sketch too. and i like the concept for the cow cloud thing, although it could use some brighter colors.

Yeah true about the brighter colours. I don't usually paint much, or use colour for that matter. I have a lot to learn ahead of me ¬_¬

I just made a thread for this in finished art, although its not reeeaallly a finished standalone piece... more of a study tbh.

Nice stuff man!

It seems you have a pretty good grasp on form, which is the main thing. Just more pencil milage and some more creativity and you with go far.
Also your brush size heirachy is really good!

Wish i had some crits but you seem to be doing everything right so far .

I REALLY love how in the fully digital painting, you've used a variety of different colors to capture the depth of the shadows- rather than just lighter and darker versions of the same color. I ALSO **lllllove** the watercolor, especially the fish and pans. The detail is so freaking perfect. <3 Great. I hope to see more updates!

This Update's mostly stuff I already posted, just wanna keep my sketchbook up to date :P

This one was a colour study, I posted the ref pic here before, but never got around to finishing it. Got a bit bored doing so many photo reffed studies... I'll try keep them quick and simple from now on. Realism is another word for boring >_>

Basically when I was in school I'd get bored and pay a trip to imagination land and end up with crappy little doodles all over my school notes. The weird thing is... I was always subconsciously paying attention to what most of the teachers were saying... One of my friends reckons that through drawing these stanky little characters, I was actually making a mental note of what was being taught in class. I guess it got me through school okay
Hope this image loads ok, its a bit on the tall side... These are probably a 3rd of all the drawings during my last school year. Lots more are on copy books/tables/walls/skin... that I don't have access to or amn't arsed finding.


These were some of the ideas and sketches I did for a physics project. My goal was to explain some of the techniques and foundations of Kung Fu through physics.
The turtle and the grandmaster are two characters that bring you through the project, explaining principles and reciting formula/definitions.
Diagrams showing vector forces, couples, newtons laws of motion etc



I hope to fill more of this sketchbook with random brainrot doodles @_@
