Color Art Rickman Flip!

So, I was commissioned to draw Alan Rickman flipping a table...

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

based off this gif that's been circulating Tumblr:

(a pretty amazing gif, I have to say)

Hahahaha I really can't say I didn't enjoy this one :'D
Oh, I'm just stroking my enormous, hard, throbbing, hot, thick, juicy ego.

I must say I'm not particularly a fan of the speed lines. I think it is a combination of the fact that they are so compact and uniform. They just look too... uh, digital, for lack of a better word.

The edges of some of the individual items could stand to be cleaned up a bit to help unify the image. Some of the edges are sharp and jagged (the guy) while others have color bleeding out of the line art (some papers).

I think you need to wrench some more effort into his face of moving the table. Right now he looks like he's just having an annoying conversation. Perhaps grit his teeth more or something.

From the perspective it doesn't look like he's flipping the table. I see him doing the motion of such an act. But the table doesn't look like it's being flipped. Just looks like the stuff is bouncing off. With the chosen perspective I'd say either zoom out to show the table better and make it more of an angle, or have his hands under the table where he's in the process of throwing the table over.

That stack of paper stuff should face us more, almost square on, and be scattered all over the place too. The table should be turning more.

Make him grit his teeth while stretching the lower lip in the manner seen in the video, make the cheek fold thing on the sides of his nose more prominent. Also, squinted eyes.

I like the speed lines though, especially on the coffee. :9
