Default rayvon87's Sketchbook! UPDATE - 03-03-08

That's right. I made a sketchbook. Better believe it.
Yup, I've finally stopped being so lazy and mades me a sketchbook. Now, be warned, a lot here will not make sense, but try not to think about it, it migh destry your brain.

Anywho,

I think I was focusing mainly on the hair and the breasts, and getting them to look right.

Unfinished, but not for long.

Well, there's me first page...disappointing really...

Nice. The hair on the first one looks great. And you seem to be quite good with anatomy...at least better than me =). Hope to see more soon !

I'm all annoyed 'cos I was so tired that I couldn't draw. But, I guess I did play 3 games of beach volleyball, but, still, annoyed.

Default The Re-Draw...

Right, so I got permission to do a redraw of Raptors' original pic -

I love the way raptor draws faces and the detail was really good.

I wanted to do a re-draw after I saw gunvalkyries' version -

I love the flow of this pic and the pose is brilliant.

So here's my version -

I'm pretty happy with it, I was up till about 12:30 (actually, that's early for me *shrugs*), and I worked on it for about 2hrs.

That's it...(sinister-like)for now...*runs away*

That's awesome. Nice work on the dress. You seem to have a good eye for the detail and the folds of her kimono...I tend to get a little impatient with that stuff...Your style is so crisp and clean.

I'm glad you did this redraw...it's interesting to see the different directions people take an idea.

Thanks, man, I was surprised, the dress really didn't take that long, I spent more time on the face than anything.

Default Char. design

This is just a character design.

His name is Ray. Maybe I'll use him for FC or something...he's already in the pub!

Thanks, that was just a quicky so I had some idea of how to draw guys in my style. He was actually the first guy I've drawn in my style. I've drawn them in a more manga style before, but mostly I focus on women, but I want to draw more dudes.

I like your style, that last one especially, very clean . You might wanna just have a look at his left arm, it seems to be bent as it comes out of the sleeve before it bends at the elbow again (if that made any sense), just a minor crit.

Good job, keep it up

Ah, yes, I see what you're saying. I'll be sure to keep that in mind. I tried to fix it up just then, but I couldn't get it right. I'll probably fix it but I won't post it up.
Nice pick-up, thanks

Default Finally...

Hmmm...been a while...
Here's one!

This is an unfinished pic for a friend which I was doing during a particularly boring art lesson today...wow...so much wrong with it... ... Oh, and a random fat dude (justifies the comment about randomness in the first post...) ...that's right, he's wearing a nike shirt...not sure why but...whatever...

Later

whoa, shes all... whoa... lol, see good...just really bendy... and good balance... heh

anatomy please...or at least common sense of comfort, could you stand like that with a smile? also maybe a bit more attention to clothing, if she bends that far there would prolly be more folds or signs of streatching... i dunno... its wierd because you did a good job that it looks kinda creepy

I guess you could be smiling and standing like that if you were in a state of ignorant bliss ;P I think there would be more stretching, 'specially on the left side under the breasts...looks kinda flat to me.

Thanks for the comments
